Measure your Jeans

Measure your jeans on a flat surface using a measuring tape. If your jeans are particularly wrinkly, you can iron them for more precise results.

PLEASE NOTE: You can only measure 100% cotton jeans without any stretch.  Do not measure jeans that have any polyester or spandex as your jeans will end up being too small.

Waist

Fold the top of your waistband so that both front and back overlap and lay flat on top of eachother.  If your jeans have a curved waistband, measure along the curve bending your tape.

Hip

Fold out your jeans flat and measure about 1/2 way between the top of the waistband and crotch point.

Front rise

Measure the front body length of your jeans starting at the waistband all the way down to the centre of the double stitched line.

Back rise

Measure the back body length of your jeans starting at the waistband all the way down to the centre of the double stitched line.

Inseam

Starting in the centre of the two stitch lines, measure the length all the way down to the hem.

Outseam

Find the side seam. Starting at the top of the waistband, measure all the way down to the hem.

Thigh

Measure about 2" down from the crotch line and parallel to the hem line.

Knee

Measure 1/2 way down the leg or where you see the bagged out fabric at your knee fold.

Hem

Measure the bottom of the jeans. Press down to flatten the fabric.

That's it!
